Cyathodium tuberculatum
Diagnostic characters—Thalli light-green, 3-5 mm long, 1-2 mm wide; each dorsal epidermis pore surrounded by 2-3 rings of 5-6 cells; dorsal epidermis cells polygonal, thin-walled, chlorophyllose, 50-85 µm long, 30-50 µm wide; ventral epidermal cells larger, hyaline, thin-walled, 90-100 µm long, 40-60 µm wide; rhizoids hyaline, smooth, thin-walled, numerous on ventrally side. Dioecious. Ventral surface of involucre having numerous long hairs, 0.2-0.3 mm long, sporophyte one in each involucre; capsules spherical, blackish, 0.5-0.7 mm diameter with a two-tiered apical disc; spores spherical, tuberculate, brownish, 45-60 µm diameter; tubercles 2.5-3 µm long; elaters 4-6 per capsule, brownish, elongate, bispiral to trispiral, 350-450 µm long, and 20-25 µm wide.
Distribution—India (Srivastrava & Dixit, 1996), new to Thailand.
Ecology—on limestone cliffs, stream valley in primary, evergreen, seasonal, hardwood forest, limestone bedrock; Ru See Cave; c. 1,125 m elevation.
